I know your number...

  1. Think of a random 3 or 4 digit number. Make all the numbers different.
    (eg, 1234)
  2. Rearrange the numbers.
    (eg. 4321)
  3. Subtract the smaller number from the larger one.
    (eg. 4321 - 1234 = 3087)
  4. Pick a non-zero number and remove it from the list.
    (eg. 30(8)7 -> 307)
  5. Scramble the other numbers.
    (eg. 703)
